What is Genital Surgery for Men?

Genital aesthetics surgery for men, also known as male genital cosmetic surgery or male genital rejuvenation, encompasses various surgical procedures aimed at improving the appearance and function of the male genitalia. These procedures are typically performed by qualified urologists, plastic surgeons, or specialized genital surgeons and can address aesthetic concerns, functional issues, or medical conditions.

Here are some common types of genital aesthetics surgery for men:

  1. Penile Augmentation: Penile augmentation procedures aim to increase the length or girth of the penis. Techniques may include penile lengthening surgery, which involves releasing the ligaments that attach the penis to the pubic bone to allow for more of the penile shaft to become visible, or penile girth enhancement, which may involve injecting fat, dermal fillers, or tissue grafts into the penis to increase its circumference.

  2. Penile Prosthesis Implantation: Penile prosthesis implantation is a surgical procedure used to treat erectile dysfunction by implanting a device into the penis that allows for on-demand erections. There are different types of penile implants available, including inflatable implants and malleable implants, each offering unique advantages and considerations.

  3. Scrotal Enhancement: Scrotal enhancement procedures aim to improve the appearance of the scrotum by increasing its size or enhancing its shape. Techniques may include scrotal enlargement with injectable fillers or implants, or scrotoplasty, which involves reshaping the scrotal skin for a smoother, more symmetrical appearance.

  4. Testicular Implants: Testicular implants are prosthetic devices used to replace missing or underdeveloped testicles. They are typically made of silicone or other biocompatible materials and are surgically implanted into the scrotum to restore the appearance of the testicles and improve self-esteem.

  5. Circumcision Revision: Circumcision revision procedures aim to correct complications or unsatisfactory results from previous circumcisions. This may involve removing excess or uneven foreskin, correcting scarring or asymmetry, or restoring the appearance of the glans penis.

  6. Pubic Lift: Pubic lift surgery, also known as monsplasty, aims to reduce the size or prominence of the mons pubis, the fatty tissue located above the pubic bone. This procedure can help improve the aesthetic appearance of the genital area and enhance sexual confidence.

It’s essential to consult with a qualified and experienced surgeon who specializes in genital aesthetics surgery for men to discuss your concerns, goals, and treatment options. The surgeon will evaluate your individual anatomy and medical history to recommend the most suitable procedure(s) for your needs and ensure the best possible outcome. Additionally, reputable institutions with experience in genital surgery, such as the Istanbul Aesthetic Center (IAC), can provide added assurance and peace of mind during your journey toward genital rejuvenation and enhancement.

If you feel lack of self-confidence and have visual problems, YES, you should go under a “Genital Aesthetics Surgery”.

You had better share all your expectations and concerns with your doctor. During examination, you should reply to any questions to be asked about your general health condition in details and inform your doctor about your past diseases and medications you used and are using.

The surgery is to be performed at our hospital under general anesthesia. The approximate duration of the surgery is between 1-1.5 hours. You may be discharged within 1-2 hours or need to stay at the hospital for an overnight as to the type of application.

If you used to have a vital disease, had gone under a surgery or have regular medications, you should share these with your doctor. If you are using blood diluent medication like aspirin, you must give up using them before the surgery. When the surgery is decided on and an appointment is made for the surgery, medications will be begun in order to prevent oedema (swelling) and bruises on the surgery site. Pre-surgical test will be carried out at the hospital where you will have the operation.

You will be examined and informed by an anaesthesia doctor before the genital area surgery. Blood diluent medications, vitamins and factors affecting anaesthesia such as alcohol and smoking should be discontinued starting from the date foreseen by your doctor.
